Smart cities will promote the healthy development of the smart lighting market

CCTV, Hong Kong, April 12 (Reporter Zhang Lei) The 11th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has recently concluded successfully. The four-day exhibition attracted approximately 21,000 buyers from 124 countries and regions. Among them, the number of buyers from Mainland China, Indonesia, Ukraine, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Nordic countries and regions all recorded ideal increases.


"Although there are uncertainties in the global economy, it will not hinder the trend of smart lighting industry, so that the industry's orders will maintain an ideal growth." The induction lamp has developed into a lighting system that can be connected to the Internet of Things today, integrating environmental protection and energy saving, beautification of the home and convenient management. Smart lighting products at this exhibition continued to be hot, with a variety of the latest lighting systems, wireless lighting controls and products on display at the venue. The conference also held a number of forums and seminars during the exhibition to promote the development of the industry.


In order to understand the latest market situation, the conference also specially commissioned an independent investigation agency to interview 363 buyers and exhibitors on-site during the Spring Lantern Fair. The industry is cautiously optimistic about the prospects of the lighting market in 2019. 53% of respondents expect that overall product sales will increase this year, while 36% are expected to remain flat.
